Tyler, the Creator cancels summer European tour dates

Tyler, the Creator has announced that his summer European tour is cancelled, affecting dates in Germany, Portugal, Spain and France.

The rapper announced the news in a tweet that simply reads: “no more Europe tour, sorry, next time”.

Chance the Rapper recently kicked off a North American arena tour behind his latest opus, Coloring Book. The jaunt runs into mid-June, after which he was due in Europe for a series of festival appearances. Now, though, Chance has canceled his planned European tour “due to scheduling conflicts beyond his control.” A statement released by the rapper adds, “Chance sends his apologies to his fans and looks forward to returning to Europe soon.” Perhaps he wants to get to work on that new studio album? Either way, this marks the second time in the last year that Chance has called off a planned UK/European tour.

The affected dates included headlining appearances at Oya Festival in Oslo, Norway; Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden; and Pukkelpop in Hasselt, Belgium.

Ja Rule has apologized for the chaos that arose from his Fyre Fest after attendees complained of “refugee camp conditions” at the luxury music festival. He ensures the festival was not a scam and that all attendees will receive a refund.

The track’s producer, Mike Will Made It, has shared the story behind the standout ‘Damn’ track in a new interview, saying: “I knew that beat was going to capture a moment.”

“It just felt real urgent,” he told NPR. “I made that beat [last year] when Gucci Mane was getting out of jail; I made it with him in mind. I was just thinking, damn, Gucci’s about to come home; it’s got to be something urgent that’s just going to take over the radio. And I felt like that beat was that.”
