More than 90 people hospitalized at Chance the Rapper show

More than 90 people were hospitalized during a Chance the Rapper concert in Connecticut on Friday (July 21).

According to the Associated Pressmany underage attendees at Hot 93.7’s Hot Jam concert at Xfinity Theatre were taken to nearby hospitals for excessive drinking.

Linkin Park cancel tour following Chester Bennington’s death

Linkin Park have cancelled their North American tour following the death of lead singer Chester Bennington.

Bennington was reported dead at the age of 41 on Thursday (July 20). The Los Angeles County coroner confirmed that his death was a suicide by hanging.

Guns N’ Roses expand 2017 North American tour with 11 new dates

As Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime reunion tour enters its second year, the demand remains strong. Today, the hard rock legends added 11 new dates to their upcoming North American arena tour, including a third date at NYC’s Madison Square Garden, a second date at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, and a second date at Los Angeles’ The Forum (and third scheduled show in the city overall, as they’re also set to play the STAPLES Center).

Rihanna, Stormzy, Nile Rodgers, Killer Mike pay tribute to Chester Bennington, dead at 41

The US artist was found dead on Thursday.

Artists including Rihanna, Nile Rodgers and Killer Mike have paid tribute to Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, whose death at the age of 41 was was announced yesterday (July 20).

The singer had reportedly hanged himself and was discovered early Thursday morning by his wife at their home in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County.

Bennington’s debut album with Linkin Park, Hybrid Theory, was released in 2000 and sold 10 million copies, kickstarting the band’s path to fame. Linkin Park went on to win two Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, four MTV VMA Awards among many more accolades.

The nu-metal innovators collaborated with a variety of artists from outside of the rock world, including a recent track with Stormzy called ‘Good Goodbye’ and a 2004 collaborative EP with Jay-Z titled Collision Course.

Stormzy was among the artists paying tribute to Bennington on social media, with El-P, Chance the Rapper, Pusha T and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich also offering their condolences.

Bennington’s Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda has also posted in tribute: “Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true,” he writes. “An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.”
